In late 2021, Linh Vo from Wildcats approached me with an interesting campaign called "Hey Future Me", where you would write your future self a message. That message could be a desiring goal, or a friendly reminder that you would love to receive in the future.
I had the opportunity to read Mei's message and create an illustration for her future note, which is about Mei on her journey of healing herself and hoping her parents feeling safe and sound.
Trees or plants are usually found in my work. They somehow resonate with my happy thoughts. The way my plants look, abstract and surreal, gives me a sense of peace and being protected. Therefore, I’d love to bring some into this illustration hoping that when Mei looks at them, she would feel like they’re resonating the same way with her, too
